DX80 video quality poor

Having a p2p meeting between 2 DX80s.  Video quality is poor.  The guy is registered to a CUCM 10.5 - cisco switches/routers.  20meg circuit.  I have a solid 8mbps between each endpoint during a file transfer.  I don't think i'm having bandwidth issues.  I don't think I have jitter.  Video quality is pixelated, tracers when people walk by - slow to respond to fast movement.

Any troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Have you pulled up call statistics in a call and see what the call is negotiating? 360p/720p etc? Also, that should also show if you are seeing packet loss/jitter etc. My hunch is its negotiating a lower call rate..

Its under the apps -> Settings ->About device ->Status -> Call Statistics.

I think you might just want to check/fix the half-duplex setting before diving into the CUCM part.

Thanks for the response.  I have a couple of questions.

1 - How would one 'pull up the call statistics'?  Is this done in the call manager or can I get this from the DX80 directly and how?

2 - If it is negotiating to a lower quality like 360p, how can I see this and how can I force it to negotiate to a better quality?  I have a good 5mbps available for the video (plus 15 for other traffic, I'd be fine if the video ate up 5)

3 - I found some routers negotiating to half-duplex.  I'm sure this is my problem.  Now I might have other problems but I know this is a problem.  This will be changed soon and i'll report back.

Thanks again.

Yep - found in the Regions where the default setting was 384 for Video.  I up'd it to 1920 and created a device pool for these guys with this new region and everything looks good.  Thanks again for the help.

OK - got the duplex settings fixed.  Video is much better.  In call statistics I noticed we are running 640x360.  Any way to make that resolution atleast double?  The bandwidth should be there so I'm not sure why it is so low.

Thanks again.

I think I found this in the Region setup.  Its set for 384 kbps max video.  Going to make changes to this.
