Edge 75 MXP Software upgrade

Hi

I have some Edge 75 MXP devices and I need to upgrade device software to F9 version

Devices are not covered under an active warranty or contract.

I would appreciate for any ideas

BR, Alexander

Cisco TelePresence System Edge 75/95 MXPhas already reached eol and the hardware support would end by may'2018, You can still upgrade to the F9 version, however you will not be entitled for any support from cisco during/after the upgrade without any valid or extended contract.

Contact TAC and ask for the relevant release key(s) to be generated and reference Cisco security advisory: Multiple Vulnerabilities in Cisco Telepresence System MXP Systems

Already tried this, reply from TAC:

"You recently contacted Cisco Technical Assistance Center (TAC) regarding Edge 75 MXP software upgrade

Since it was found that the products for which you need support are not covered under an active warranty or contract, Cisco would like to refer you to the Cisco Support Community (CSC) for self-support information and to our SMB marketplace page."

My request:

"Due to security issues with the device software version 7 (according to http://tools.cisco.com/security/center/content/CiscoSecurityAdvisory/cisco-sa-20140605-openssl ), can we get a release keys and perform the upgrade to 9.3.3 software version?"

Hi Alexander,

you could try the following procedures:

1. Open the same request at Cisco Licensing ( licensing@cisco.com ) and add the information that you cannot order a new service contract with reference to the EoL Announcement. The last change to order a new service contract was May 2014.

2. Contact you Cisco Account Manager, maybe he has some possibilities to organize you a release key.

Thanks

Sebastian
