I just connected my PC to an EX60, and I'm sending it 1080p video, the EX60 even recognizes this:
Input 1 – DVI
PC – 1920x1080, 60Hz
However, the image of my PC has black borders around it both top/bottom and left/right, when I change my resolution to 720p it will display full screen, it's only like this with 1080p. The PC and EX60 are connected using a DVI cable. The EX60 is fresh out of the box, only configuration done is simply to turn it on and very basic if any configuration as of yet.
Any ideas, thanks.

Hi Patrick,
I suppose you are using extended display setting in your laptop.
Blak border you are getting is for wall paper ? If you share any application like IE , firefox aor any thing are you getting same balck border ?
You should get application in full screen .

any application i.e browser showing full screen without any issues npo borders
played a full HD 1080p video coming fullscreen , however any other BDrip video goes with top and bottom black bars as its ripped in a 2.a:X ratio.

Hello, yes it is configured for extended display. The black border I get it for the entire video image, wallpaper and all applications from my laptop. As I mentioned, 720p resolution works perfectly, however it's 1080p that doesn't and gives me the border.

Hi Patrick,
Are you using DVI to VGA cable received from cisco with this unit ?
Are you using docing station fro laptop ?
Can you try other laptop and see are you getting same thing ?
What is frimware running on codec ? if it is not TC 6.2 then upgrade it .
My EX 60 config working .
xConfiguration Video Input DVI 1 Type: AutoDetect
*s Video Input Source 1 MediaChannelId: 2
*s Video Input Source 1 Resolution Height: 1080
*s Video Input Source 1 Resolution Width: 1920
*s Video Input Source 1 Resolution RefreshRate: 60
*s Video Input Source 1 Resolution FormatType: AnalogDiscreteTiming
*s Video Input Source 1 Resolution FormatStatus: Ok
If it still not work then gice factory reset to codec .

Hi Patrick,
Use the pc resolution for extended display as 13.. x 768. I am away from my work station do not remember the exact figure will update you once I am at my desk
Ex60 is not a perfect wide screen. Hence putting a 1920×1080 may not give you the desired layout. Infact ex90 will also do the same.
Factory reset would not be required as of now rest you can try the information provided by Dharmesh .
In terms of video if that is one pure (not ripped to any different aspect ratio) 1080p video then it will cone on screen full size. I will have to recheck it once give me an hour or so will update you. :)
Thanks

Thanks for the help. Either it was late last night and I just didn't noticed, but I'm able to full screen my applications and they take up the full screen. However the wall paper doesn't, it shows with the border, even though it's set to stretch. The EX60 is my 3rd monitor, my other two are set to 1440*900 (their max resolution), so I presume the EX90 has to conform to that resolution for the wallpaper?
