Expressway IP dialing

Hi ,

I tried to enable IP dialing (option 1) (IP@ vcs.domin) , but still the expressway C forwards the complete sip URI instead the IP. Expressway doesn't strip the domain

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/unified-communications/telepresence-video-communication-server-vcs/118884-config-vcs-00.html

Created the transform as shown here.

Pattern String: (.*)\.(.*)\.(.*)\.(.*)@vcs.domain

Replace String: \1.\2.\3.\4

Thanks

Did you test the pattern using the tool within the VCS?

Hi

I added the above transform to expressway E . Now I can do the IP dialling. But i cant dial polycom because it has  Public IP##701224360

I also need to connect external Tandberg devic & its format is  name@public IP & still i cant find the way to access these devices.

Let me know  , if you have any idea.

Thanks

Suchi

IP##alias is a Polycom proprietary dialing scheme, you need to use alias@IP instead.

To dial alias@IP where the IP is an address of an endpoint on the public internet, you should use Option 2 within the guide you linked to in your original post.

Can you provide a screenshot of the transform on the Expressway-C, maybe you don't have it configured correct.
