HDMI to VGA for laptop

Looking for a recommendation on connecting my DX80 with HDMI cable to my laptop with VGA.

The question is does your laptop has a VGA input.

Most of the laptops have only VGA output, so It might be not possible to pass the signal to laptop screen if you want share media/presentation as a extension  there are HDMI to VGA converters but I don't think that they are supported.

Atlona makes a VGA/HDMI converter scaler that works very well IMO.

Hi-

 

I've used this http://goo.gl/tCZyz6 and it seemed to work fine.  It's not HDMI to VGA, but it will convert HDMI to USB.
