Cab you tell us more about what you're trying to do, what "thin client" are you referring to?

If you simply want to disable selfview of the SX endpoint, you can do this through either the remove or touch panel depending on which model and software version of the endpoint, refer to the SX User Guides for more information.  For example, for an SX20 running TC7.x software, using the remote you can hit the layout button just above the end call button and select show/hide selfview, or using the Touch 8 you can tap the camera icon in the upper right and select the check box.

We have SX20, and every time we on the SX20 from the standby mode it show us our self view instate of showing the custom background .. So every time we have to switch off the self view from the touch 10 … what we require is when we wake up the touch 10 & SX20 we want to see the custom background instate of seeing our self view … How we can do it from the SX20 web interface?

If selfview is turned off, it should remain off until someone turns it back on again.  If it is turned on when coming out of standby, there is no way to automatically disable it other than turning it off yourself.

dear Patrick,

how can we disable the self view from the web interface please? so it will NOT show the self view every time the SX20 wakes up?

Besides the methods already mentioned to turn off selfview using the endpoint remote or touch panel, you can also turn if off through the web interface under Configiration > System Configuration > Video.

it's already off but every time we wake up the SX20 it shows us the self view not the wallpaper .. please see the attachment

What is Video SelfviewDefault Mode set to?  Set it to either Off or Current.  If this is set to On, it will turn SelfView back on after a call ends, see the description below:

Determine if the main video source (self-view) shall be displayed on screen after a call. The position and size of the self-view window is determined by the Video SelfviewDefault PIPPosition and the Video SelfviewDefault FullscreenMode settings respectively

  • Off: self-view is switched off when leaving a call.
  • Current: self-view is left as is, i.e. if it was on during the call, it remains on after the call; if it was off during the call, it remains off after the call.
  • On: self-view is switched on when leaving a call.

where can i find SelfviewDefault please?

Using the web interface it's under Configuration > Video > Selfview.

i change it to off or current but still every time we touch the touch 10 device to wake up the SX20 ... the first thing it shows the Self view .. see the attached ..

Aside from web interface, you can also login on codec's API using SSH/Telnet and do this command:

xConfiguration Video SelfviewDefaut FullscreenMode: Off

I've never experienced what you're seeing, for me, whenever selfview is off, it remains off unless someone turns it back on again.

Can you go to Maintenance > Back and Restore, take a backup of the endpoint and upload that backup here so we can take a look?  Be sure to change any sensitive information within the file before you upload it.

You can disable the message "Previewing Camera" on the Touch 10 device by double tapping the message then select disable.

Acevirgil
