Wonder if anyone experienced with Lync client cannot complete video call to VCS endpoint via B2bua. As soon as VCS endpoint received a call and picked up, Lycn client would disconnect. According to the Lync client log, it stated that Lync client "Failed to process response" and in the Event log "A sip request made by communicator failed in an unexpect manner (status code 80ee0012). More information is contained in the following technical data:". I was able to make video from Lync client to other video vendors via SIP trunks.

hello Bui,
if it is possible please
restart B2BUA service in VCS and Lync service in Lync server,
make sure VCS cluster name and every peer name can be resoluted by Lync server DNS,
if there is any firewall between them, please make the media traffic can go through.
thanks.
Yu.

Hi,
Does the call from Lync 2010 client reaches to the VCS endpoint, and then terminated?
What is the value configured for "SIP Profile [1..1] TlsVerify" in the VCS endpoint? Can you turn it to "Off" and try making calls?

As soon as the the VCS endpoint answered the call, the lync client sent a BYE message immediately. I am Lync server patch kb2493736. According to the lync client log, the client reported " 52087;reason="failed to process response".

After looking into Lync server trace, found the dns setup was incorrect in the VCS. Apparently, the DNS was point to a different DNS server for a different test.
