Looking for a quick efficient way of changing the admin password on Cisco SX/DX/Webex/Spark Room Kits endpoints running CE9.7.x software. All endpoints are managed by both TMS 15.4 and CUCM 11.5. We have about 80 endpoints, all running the same software. Just wondering if there is a way to change all the endpoint passwords from CUCM in bulk without necessarily jumping from one endpoint to another.

Hello,
If the endpoints are managed through TMS then You can use configuration templates in TMS to update the admin password on the endpoint.
There are many discussions on this in community-
From CUCM i am not sure if through bulk import file you can change it, but anyway TMS will be easier and quick way to do this task.
Thanks

Device configuration templates within TMS are not applicable for CUCM managed devices.

Is there a way to bulk update CUCM-controlled endpoint passwords? We use TMS also and now with CE9.10 code onward, passphrases must contain 8 characters.

Hi
TMS templates will be the most efficient (& controlled) way of setting the password on multiple devices at the same time

As previously noted, TMS device templates are not applicable to CUCM managed devices.

Zac - you are correct. I tried a template and it did not work. So is there a solution out there? I have 450 endpoints - about every model made. Updating each one manually is not possible. Thanks.

It's shouldn't be too hard to write a script that will:
1) connect to an endpoint via SSH or Telnet or xAPI (depending on what you have configured as available in your environment)
2) log in with the old username / password
3) change the password
4) log off
5) repeat the above for the next endpoint until done

Hi Wayne,
It is possible via Prime Collaboration Assurance ? or Provisioning ?
