Multicast configuration

Hello,

I just read a lot of stuff about multicasting on cisco site. but didn't get the idea how to do what i need.

So i have a multicast source at 224.2.2.2 and can watch it when i connect directly to the source.

So i want to connect it to my core switch 6500 and send the source to another switch 2950 which is 60km away. it's already in trunk mode and in vlan 100.

what should i do with oth switches to get the source on the other side.

Regards.

This is a routing question and would be more suited if you moved it to one of the Route/Switch communities on the forum. With that said, here's the quick-start guide:

You need to configure PIM multicast-routing so the multicast group can cross layer three boundaries.
