Noise during video conference sx-80/sx-20

David Simcoe

Level 1

Hearing intermittent scratching noise from speakers during call.

The noise is heard only on the sx-20 end. When the call is still active but conference mode is left by pushing any other mode button on touch panel, the noise goes away.

So, the noise is present when a call is active and the conference mode is selected from the touch panel and is heard only on the sx-20 end. It should also be noted that the noise is not present during calls to any other system from the sx-20. Only during calls to the particular sx-80. Also, the noise is present during any call method (sip, H323, VMR).

Hi David,

As mentioned this SX20 is not having any noise issue when in a call with other endpoints but what about SX80, means what happens when SX80 is on call with other endpoints whether other endpoints also hearing the noise?

# If yes, then how many microphones are connected with this SX80? Try to connect one at a time and identify whether its a mic issue or not?

Thanks

If the noise is only coming out when you are connected to the SX80, then that tends to suggest that there is something at the SX80 end that is causing the noise.   Spend your effort investigating the room where the SX80 is and the positioning of any microphones, and also any other input devices that may be sending audio in to the system.
