We need to locate a SX80 codec at a considerable distance from a P60 camera. The connection between the the Codec and the Camera is RJ45 at both ends.
Is the physical connection between P60 and SX80 a standard transport (e.g. RS232) which we could then tunnel over other products?
We have a variety of RS232 tunnelling solutions, but are just not sure re what Cisco use for control protocol between SX80->P60 connection.
Documentation is not clear whether it is Visca or RS232 between the 2 devices.
Thanks

Short answer - it's not serial at all, it's Ethernet. The SX80 has three Ethernet ports, one is to connect to the network, the other two are for peripheral devices, generally Touch 10 and Camera. if you are connecting multiple cameras you will need a small switch.

As @PJMack said, the control of the P60 camera is done over Ethernet - which can quite easily go up to 100m, or with the use of other options (like fibre transceivers), go for many miles.
You will spend more time, effort and money in extending the HDMI cables for the video than you will with the eithernet for control.
