QoS for FXS analogue lines

Hi

I have a situation where I will be installing 2 analogue phones via FXS ports.

Is there any way to tag these ports/DNs in order for me to capture any calls to and from so I can create a policy-map for them.

On the same router we have approx 10 IP phones on LAN, this is a remote site and often falls over to low B/W sat link and I want to reserve B/W for these analouge lines in QoS.

Any advice appreciated.

On the dial-peer, you can specify a DSCP value with 'ip qos dscp.'  You can use that to map the special phones to a specific value and then use the downstream policy map to differentiate what WAN egress queues the different DSCPs should go.

I would do that on the outbound dial-peer.  You can't do it on a per-phone or per-DN basis on CME, so it needs to be done on the H.323/SIP VoIP peer pointing to the other side.  Probably what I would do is leave the special phones with media of EF, and I'd mark all of the non-special phones to do DSCP of AF41 and if the WAN doesn't hae provisioning for an AF41 queue, strip the DSCP of AF41 to 0 at the WAN egress.
