Room Kit Plus with 4 Mics through Audio DSP

Hi,

Any issue in using 4 x Cisco Ceiling Mics passing through a DSP first, mixing the 4 signals into two audio channels, then output from the DSP into Mic-1 and Mic-2 of the Cisco room Kit plus codec;

Would this affect any of the functionality of the microphones? In particular, mute functionality? as the mics cabling is “4-pin” with pin#4 sending mute commands to the mics.

Appreciate your inputs on this.

Regards

when you press the mute button on the Touch 10, it isn't sending a mute command to the mic (s), it's muting the port on the codec. the Pin 4 is only relevant for table mics that have the mute button on them, it has no play in ceiling mics.

So - will what you suggest work? I would imagine so. that said, you should consider the RK Pro instead of plus - sure it costs a bit more but now you don't have to worry about buying/configuring/tuning a DSP, just plug the mics directly into the codec.
