Setting up Cisco C60 for a test site

Hi All,

I have two C60 codecs sitting on the same network (not provisioned, not configured for videoconferencing).

Could anybody please explain how to configure these two codecs for a test VTC site? I have found a couple of test sites, IPs, etc, but I have no idea what to setup. The advanced configuration page on the device is not very helpful.

Can these two devices call each other without some kind of service setup? I am pretty new to this area, so I really appreciate your help on this.

Thanks,

Sinan

Hi SInan,

please review this doc guide for configuring your C60s

Also you can from one C60 to the other using IP address. if you want to dial by SIP URL or H323 ID you need a VCS.

Hi,

If you need to make test call between 2 unit in same network with out gatekeeper registration then you need to dial using IP adress .

Following configuration required to have IP call .

xConfiguration H323 Profile 1 CallSetup Mode: Direct

xConfiguration NetworkServices H323 Mode: On

xConfiguration Conference 1 DefaultCall Protocol: H323

If you need to make test call on unit installed in public internet then H323 ports needs to be open on firewall .

refer following post for more detail .

https://supportforums.cisco.com/message/3922561#3922561

You can also have SIP call with in 2 EP , This you can use for test only will not recommend for production enviroment .

xConfiguration Conference 1 DefaultCall Protocol: H323

HTH

Kind regards,

Dharmmesh

Hi Guys,

I made these configuration settings on both VTCs. But unless I am doing something wrong with the way I am dialing, the call does not seem to go through. Is there a special way of entering the IP address of the target VTC? I am doing this testing from the web interface "Call Control" page.

Thanks,

Sinan
