We have a SIP TRUNK between our CM running 8.6.1 and our VCS running X8.5.1. Was working earlier and then we made a change in error.
In the SIP trunk section of the CM where the IP or SRV record to the VCS was changed from IP to a bad SRV record killed the trunk. When we added the IP address back the trunk still indicated from the VCS "Service Unavailable" ???
That was the only change we made. Now we can't get the SIP Trunk to go active??
Any Ideas would be very helpful.
We rebuilt the SIP trunk on both the CM and the VCS and still no joy.
Frustrated.
Thank you.

You have to reset the trunk in CUCM for it to pick up changes, especially after deleting and recreating it. Clicking my Save in VCS after Reset in CUCM should trigger a retest.

Still no joy on the reset ... indicates failed and service not available ???
Suggestion next ... ?

Hi Chet,
Can you attach a screenshot of what exactly you are seeing?
Also, are you using TCP or UDP for sip?
can you verify the connectivity between the IPs.
Please rate if helpful.

Adarsh,
Thank you for the update ... we figured it out .. was head space error ... It was the transform and search rule issue. SIP trunk up and call both ways available ..
Everyones input helped us along with troubleshooting ... thank you.
