Hi All,
We have sx-20 codec along with the 4x 1080p camera in our campus. We are facing some problems with the camera. When it is rotaing left/ Right side, its creating some anonymous sound. We are bit confused about the root cause of that sound. So please help me on this issue.

Does the camera still move when trying to rotate, or does it just produce a noise?
What sort of noise is it, can you describe it a little better than an "anonymous sound"?
The camera may have been rotated by a person manually twisting it rather than driving it with the remote, which may have damaged the internal mechanism (I've had this happen to a camera before).
It's probably best, if you have a service contract, to just log a call with the TAC to have the camera replaced.

Hi wayne,
Thanks for your reply.
The Camera is producing some noise like the motor is stucked.
When we switch on the Device the camera is producing the same noise and when we move it slightly, then it operates normally and when the Codec is going to shutdown, then again the camera is producing the same stucking noise.Could that be a software bug? as we face this problem at all cameras (10 cameras) at different locations.....

Hi Surendran,
is this camera is wall mounted ?
We see a number of cases where this issue occurs due fastening mechanism on the mounting bracket. When attaching the PrecisionHD 1080p 4x to the mounting bracket, the camera is fastened by tightening a bolt that goes through the bracket and into the camera housing. We have found that if the bolt is tightened too much, the camera housing may be bent. This can in some situations prevent camera pan motion or cause noise when camera position is changed.
Please remove camera from bracket and test again. If problem is solved, the camera can be remounted on bracket while at the same time making sure that the fastening bolt is not tightened too much.
