SX20 - Motor Failure Camera Error

Hi all, we have often had issues with the cameras on our SX20s going out of focus. Up until now, we have physically unplugged these cameras and plugged them back in which fixes the issues. Of course, this is more of a band aid than a permanent fix, and we also have limited access to the office to physically unplug the cameras every time. The specific error is as follows:

ERROR: Camera Status

Camera with id 1 has reported to have a hardware fault: Motor failure detected.

We have this error on every single one of our SX20s. Our SX10s and Room Kit units are fine. Does anyone know of a way of either fixing this problem from off site? I have had some success with resetting the motors under the Developer API, but this has only worked for one room.

Many thanks in advance for any help or information anyone has.

There were some firmware issues which caused some of the cameras to have focus issues a while ago, but these have been fixed in more recent software versions.

Which software release are you running on you endpoints and cameras?  Are you running a recent release (ie CE9.12.3)?

Thanks for the helpful response, Wayne.

Looks as though our SX20s are quite behind on their firmware. Will see if we can get them updated and if that fixes the issue. Thanks again!
