TCS Recorded Video Playback Using Video Endpoint

Hi,

I deployed a Cisco Telepresence Content Server (TCS v.5.3) and encountered issue regarding on how we can playback the recorded videos via video endpoint.

Under Edit recordings, I can't see an option or checkbox "Make recording  available for playing on endpoints".

Refering on the TCS admin guide it  says that "If this check box is not on the Edit recording page, a Content Server  site manager has not configured the prefixes necessary for an E.164 playback  alias or H.323 playback ID. Contact a site manager for more information". What  does this mean?

And where i can configure the playback aliases/H323 playback  ID?

The TCS is registered as SIP and H323(E.164) on the VCS  control.

The recorded contents were set to "Publish recording".

You need to do the following:

"Premium Resolution" option key must be installed.

Configure registration, see Site Settings, as "Gateway", not "Terminal".

Enter the prefixes you want to use for recording and also for playback, these cannot be the same.

Please note Playback prefix options will not be available unless the Premium Resolution option key is installed.

Also note playback using SIP is not supported at this stage.

Hi Jens,

Is there any way to control playback alias digit lenght?

For example, playback E164 prefix is "6" and for one recording, TCS create 6141 as Playback E164 alias and 61514 for another recording.

I need to fix alias digit lenght but could not find any way to do it.

Hello Mesut -

To my knowledge there is no way to edit the playback alias, it's auto generated by the TCS and can't be changed.
