Greetings!
My organization has a C40 Telepresence unit that, for all intent and purposes, appears to be working normally. I use the HDMI1 Output for one large screen display and the DVI Out for another. One other thing I am trying to do is push the HDMI1 video and audio down to our 1st floor area for others to watch and listen to during major events where we have lots of folks who all will not fit into our conference room. I tap the HDMI1 output via a AV matrix switch transmitter before it goes to my main large screen display. The signal is relayed to designated screens below and looks great and sounds great....except for one issue, hence my problem.
When anyone in the room speaks, the audio is transmitted to the other participants / far ends in the VTC. They hear us fine however the folks downstairs DO NOT. When any of the distant ends / far ends participate, their audo and video is relayed with no issues. I can't seem to get the audio picked up by the microphone in our conference room to be relayed out of the HDMI1 output. I've also tried other outputs and the result is the same. Great audio and video no mater what combination A/V outputs I use except for the local speakers voice. Any thoughts? Do I need to do any special routing using the TC Console software?
Many thanks!

The audio coming out of HDMI 1 does not by default contain the local audio since that's generally in the room where the microphones are, so you'd create an audio loop. Since you're splitting HDMI 1, anything you want to hear in the aux room will be in the primary also.
The line output combines both local and far end audio (it was designed for local recording). What I'd recommend is have cables run to support that output, and use a sound bar for the audio in the aux room - cheap and simple.
Hope this helps.

Mr. DeNardi,
Nailed it! SSH was enabled but there was a setting for NetworkServices SSH AllowPublicKey. Once I turned that off, I was able to log in as you surmised using the Admin account and password used with the http interface.
The TC software is indeed very intuative and has allowed me to configure the C40 Codec so the local speaker (near side) can broadcast out via LINE OUT1 and 2 to seperate speakers for the larger displaced audiance downstairs. Thanks again for assisting the Forward Deployed Sailors and Civilians in Japan! WELL DONE SIR!

PJMACK,
No joy on getting my audio out over LINE OUT 1 and/or LINE OUT 2. They definitly output the farside audio though. Can you or anyone else steer me to where I can download the Console software for the C40? As I understand it, the software allows for unique routing of audio and I'm wondering if that is where should at least look to see how it is being routed now. The link in the SAG points to a page that no longer exists on a develope site.
Thanks!

You can download TC Console for the C series endpoints from here: https://software.cisco.com/download/home/286271155/type/280886992/release/TC-console-v7.3.0

Mr. Denardi,
Progress! I loaded a laptop with WIN7 and the TC software. I am also able to make a CLI connection via serial cable. That said, it appears we do not have the password necessary to connect via TC or CLI. I am able to use the http interface as we do have that password. Are there procedures for resetting the CLI/TC interface password or must I factory reset the codec? My unit is a C40, Software Ver TC7.3.2.14.ad7cc, SN: FTT184600VT.
Cheers!

You should be able to log in to the CLI with the same username and password as you do for the web interface.
You may need to check on the endpoint (via the http interface) that you have SSH turned on to be able to connect over the networkd (for TC Console to work).
