Hi,
We have TMS 15.4.0 managing endpoints (SX20) with T7.3.13 and CE9.1.6 registered to a VCS-C version X8.10.2.
The issue is that SX20 with CE9.1.6 reports their "registration status" at boot and sometimes they are not updating the "registered" status correctly to TMS. This makes TMS unable to add the endpoint to a conference (present or future) as registration status is "inactive" or "registering"
Behaviour is specially common when Codec with CE 9.1.6 is restarted from the Web GUI (Maintenance >> Restart), As soon as the restart device button is pressed, Registration status in TMS changes to "inactive" and when codec boots, TMS changes it to "registering" or "unknown" or remains "inactive". Sometimes it shows the correct "registered" status and sometimes the incorrect status. Not always the same codec.
The registration status is not updated automatically, we have to do a force refresh settings in TMS endpoint settings or wait for the force refresh interval (4 hours) to pass. After this the status show "registered" Note: The endpoints have no issues to register and shows registered in VCS and in the Codec Web interface as soon as they are online. We also have codecs with 7.3.13 and they are not having this registrations status update behaviour in TMS. Most Endpoints are usually powered down and turned on when having conference.
Does anyone know if its a bug or a common problem?
Thanks in advance for your help,
Best regards,

Please open a TAC case on this issue.....to determine if a known issue with TMS or CE software.

TMS 15.4 was released in December 2016, CE9 didn't come out until spring 2017. The release notes for TMS 15.5 state that was the first version to support "Spark Room Endpoints on CE9". It doesn't specifically mention other endpoints on CE9, but......
I would recommend upgrading TMS, I believe it will likely resolve your problem. 15.7 is the latest. At least go to 15.6.1 if you don't want to go to the latest version, that will support anything currently offered.

Thanks for your answer,
I have tested with 15.6.1 and behaviour is the same, will open a TAC case and will update if there is a workaround or fix.

I'd also recommend that you update your endpoints to CE9.4.0 (being the current release as at the date of this post). We have VCS registered SX20s running CE9.4.0 and TMS15.5.0 running here and do not have any issues. If it's still not working for you when running the recent versions of code, then it's likely that you have some other issue in your deployment (Firewalls, HTTP/HTTPS issues, Proxy Servers, Certificates, SSL/TLS cipher suites, etc). If you have TAC support, getting them involved is likely a good idea to help work out where your issue is.
Please remember to mark helpful responses and to set your question as answered if appropriate.

Thanks will try to involve TAC as this is not a specific situation is more kind of random. Also will check QoS configuration in the network.
