TMS automatic software upgrade

Hello,

I need to upgrade the systems from the TMS. So I want the TMS to download the latest software and release keys automatically. It can find and start to download the latest software but it can not complete. It can not get the release keys from the web site automatically. The customer has more than 1000 systems so it is really important to do that automatically.

I am using TMS 13.2.2.

Hi, is the TMS server behind a proxy? If yes have you typed in the proxy credentials correctly on the network settings in TMS?

You should look at it in a strucutred way, what works and what does not.

In general the TMS checks (I think its every two nights) for new release keys and software.

You can also manualy trigger that by disabling and enabling the upgrade feature.

Regards the software downloads I noticed that as well that sometimes (no proxy present)

the download is not ok. Deleting the corrupted / to small file and wait, retrigger the upgrade

or simply manualy downloading the files to the right location will fix that.

There are some other parts where it can fail,

* like Magnus mentioned, if a proxy is used or other network / firewall problems occur

* the information for specific serial numbers might not be ok in the Cisco Database we had this before as well 

* sometimes a system simply does not have a serivce contract, for what ever reason (human erorr fogetting to renew licenses also happens .-)

Are the systems reachable by TMS or are there also behind firewall?

Are the systems handled in the System Navigator or do they also use provisioning (e20, ex60, ex90, mx200, mx300) ?
