TMS SLOW PERFORMANCE ISSUE

Chet Cronin

Running TMS 15.4.0 on Windows 2012R2 server.

SQL 2012 is on a separate Windows 2012R2 server.

Problem is slow performance I.e.

When selecting say Navigator, Software Manager, adding an endpoint in a booked VTC for example it takes over 2 to 3 minutes for the page to render.

We looked at SQL and our DB Admin made some minor adjustments but no change.  We are now looking at IIS on the TMS server in the event viewer and don't see anything out of the norm for applications.

The CPU, memory, and storage is more than what the CISCO deployment guide calls for.

Any other Ideas would be appreciated.

We had a similar problem on one of our TMS servers when someone in another team installed a virus scanner on to the TMS server.  Do you have any sort of AV on your server, and if so, are you able to temporarily disable it to check to see if it is causing any impact?

Hi Chet,

we had an issue where the TMS page was initially taking 2-3 minutes for opening. We also tried using different browsers but status was same. SQL was co-resident with TMS application.

we were using TMS 15.3 and upgraded to 15.5 but status was same.

The problem was with IIS. We re-installed the Windows OS and un-installed IIS  which got installed with Windows , finally installed IIS along with TMS application.

regds,

aman

Thank you for the input... will attempt to make the change and get back with you.

Hi Chet,

Before doing above changes, make sure the IIS causing slowness, so that above process would be helpful, otherwise, it won't.

So, try to access the TMS page from the remote server itself without slash(/) tms .It will hit the IIS and you can observe whether it's loading slowly or fast. If it's taking time then its issue with IIS otherwise it could be other things.
