Dear All,
Some time i am getting confused on licenses, for example we have 1000 CUWL licenses. 1000 Enhanced Phones. We associated 800 CUWL profiles to each phone with owner used id there is no error on licenses. Some time its getting error. What are the license can borrow from CUWL std?

Dear Aman,
Thanks for your prompt response,
Actually we have 1000 CUWL standard License, We have the phone model 8841,7841. Systems team not properly maintaining AD due to that we are not associated All the Users Owner user ID for jabber profile. We assoicated for few users then errow was gone the error it shows "the sytem shows license will expire on so and so days" When i go through the license report by default all phones in the Enhanced licenses. It's not borrowed from CUWL std.

Hi Siva,
7841 and 8841 use UCL Enhanced licenses.
In your case, if owner id is not associated then, user with two phones and one CSF[J4W] would consume three licenses.
If owner userid is associated with three devices , then, it will consume one CUWL standard.
If owner userid is associated with two devices, it will consume one UCL Enhanced Plus.

Aman ,

Hi Siva,
You can correlate this info from system-->licensing-->license usage report page in CUCM and the PLM license usage page. These will show what are the devices and user associations consuming what licenses.

From this page you can see which device needs which license. Lets say a device needs enhanced and then you see the installed and available licenses in PLM license usage. If there are no enhanced licenses available, then it will borrow one from the upper tier license for example: CUWL standard.

Hi Siva,
In ELM/PLM, Licenses ---- License Usage --Table View. In this u can check, Installed as 1000 for CUWL standard and enhanced would show as 0 under Installed.
Now if the Enhanced licenses are being borrowed from CUWL Standard or loaned to UCL Enhanced, it would show as Required with Available.
Also, Under Table View , the colour difference or when u keep the mouse on the bar , it would show Loan/Borrow.
