Hi team while doing installation of cisco room kit. Initially i have configured the device as a stand alone device. Tried to connect one of my friend's personal room that moment i can see like you have connected to the meeting, its checking the details like whether i am host or not. But i checked with my friend that he saying he has not received any call. Meanwhile i have scheduled meeting from webex tried to join but i am unable to connect.

Would you please help me what will be the issue.

Hello,

If you are using this device as a standalone, the ports on firewall should be open properly.

Please make sure below ports are open on your firewall and you should configure a public DNS on endpoint so that it can resolve DNS queries-

 For SIP -5060-TCP

RAS) - Port 1719 - UDP

H225 call Setup - Port 1720 - TCP

H.245 - Port Range 5555-5574 – TCP (in case of dynamic you need to open 11000 to 20999 )

Video - Port Range 2326-2485 - UDP

Audio - Port Range 2326-2485 - UDP

Data/FECC - Port Range - 2326-2485 - UDP

Thanks

But call was initiated through webbed right. Then no need open any ports in firewall right. Moreover currently all the ports are open only.

Sorry its not webbed webex typo error.

You don't tell us which "Webex" you are using, and there are different firewall requirements depending on which products you are using:

Hi,

You said - "Tried to connect one of my friend's personal room that moment i can see like you have connected to the meeting, its checking the details like whether i am host or not. "

Looks like you have reached the Webex Video IVR and you have to either enter "#" if you are not the host or enter PIN for the Webex meeting if you are the host. Then you will be able to join the Webex meeting.  Just confirm you are dialling the correct  meeting of your friend.

If you are in any doubt on the ports not being open etc. you can run this tool from a laptop/pc/mac and web broswer  http://mediatest.webex.com from the same wired or wireless network that your room kit is connected to and see if it has errors.  Then follow the other links folks have put in this thread.
