Uses for a Tandberg Movi TTC2-03 with c20 codecs

Community,

We're currently running a c20s codecs (software version 5+) in conference rooms and they're all registered via SIP with our Call Manager 8.6. This works nicely but doesn't facilitate conferencing desktop computers and home users. We acquired a Tandberg TTC2-03 for that purpose.

Can anyone speak to their experience with the TTC2-03? What do you use it for? What are the options for integrating this TTC2-03 into our CUCM and c20 codec environment?

Thanks in advance.

Just to make sure as I didn't quite believe my eyes when I saw the title I take it you got one of these:

I'm sorry to say this is obsolete, I vaguely remember beta testing version 0.9 probably 10 years ago or so, but we dropped it as it didn't have Mac support then.

It's come a long way since then and is now JabberVideo for Telepresence (which is not appliance based);

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/ps11328/index.html and we are now heavily using it, but it requires a VCS-C/VCS-E and TMS for medium to large deployments, A VCS-E starter pack is a good entry level solution for small deployments though. See

You might find one of the old TANDBERG engineers hanging out in the Telepresence support forum who might be able to give you some info and pointers re this Movi appliance, if you can indeed integrate it with your current set-up using CUCM at all.

Another option would be the free Cisco hosted version of JabberVideo which can be found here:

https://www.ciscojabbervideo.com

Again, don't know if this will work in you environment, so suggest you ask in the Telepresence forum.

Edit: Also note your version of CUCM does not support URI dialling, so the end-points will not be able to call the JabberVideo (Movi) clients, but these clients should be able to call the end-points by IP address. (I believe support for URI dialling was introduced in CUCM 9.x)
