VCS Control using Non-traversal licenses

I have multiple endpoints registering with the VCS control unit however when they are making a call they are using the Non-Traversal licenses. Is there any way that I can get the endpoints to use the traversal licenses

The usage of non-traversal calls is exactly how it shall behave and how you should want it to behave.

Search a bit, you find more info in the forum or under

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/telepresence/infrastructure/articles/vcs_traversal_call_license_usage_kb_168.shtml

Especially the encryption policy can be a way to go.

What is your intention, misuse licenses, having issues regards firewalled systems, testing or something else?

If its the second, a VCS-E would be the device you want to use or/and see what you might have to optimize in your network

I was wanting to utilise the 100 traversal licenses that we currently have on the VCS control.

I have the endpoints calling via H323 as default and I have read that if I change to SIP i may be able to use the media encrytption licenses

In that case you need to set "Media encryption mode" (Policy/SIP) to either "Force Encrypted" or "Best Effort". This can be specified in all zones and sub-zones, which means you could have encryption enforced for some zones, and not for others - or all for that matter - depending on your requirements. (x7.2.2)

And don't forget to change the default protocol on the end-points to SIP, unless you want to specify the protocol for every single call that is.
