We are trying to configure the VCS Expressway Starter Pack. What is the diffrence between the System name and the Cluster name? Can they be the same?

The system name is simply a friendly identifier for the starter pack VCS, and can be set to any alphanumeric string value, spaces included, while the cluster name is actively used in the provisioning process, and should normally be set to the DNS FQDN of the starter pack VCS itself.

Hi,
You can use the cluster FQDN on VCS same as DNS name of VCS (not the system name), if you have only one VCS.
However i don't think thats a right way to go forward, because if you add a another vcs in cluster in future at that moment you have to change the FQDN of cluster.
And then the problem with provisioning start. You have to migrate all the provisioning data to new clsuter FQDN which i think is not straight forward.
So it is good if you set clsuter FQDN unique on VCS and configure the DNS srv records for clsuter FQDN accordingly.
Thanks
Alok
