I noted on a couple systems I uploaded TC7.3.5 via WEB Remote that they get hung on the last part of the upgrade I.e.
At the point it states System installs hooks etc.
I have to restart the system and it reverts to the old firmware which makes sense.
Why would it be handing up on the last part of the install processes ...
thanks.

Hi Chet,
As I mentioned in the other thread where you first mentioned this, there is usually some software or hardware issue that causes this. You can try doing a factory reset on the device then try upgrading again. If this still doesn't help, it's likely you have faulty equipment and you should organize an RMA through the TAC.

Hi Chet,
A few days ago I had a similar issue upgrading C40, C60, and C90 from version 6.2.0, and MX300 G2 from version 7.3.0 (if I remember correctly) to version 7.3.6
The upgrade was always stuck in “Running post-install hooks from installed package” stage, doesn't matter if I'm using TMS v14.2.1 or via web interface.
The workaround was to upgrade/downgrade to version TC7.1.1, and then upgrade to TC7.3.6, I used TMS to push both images.

One system I tried with a valid upgrade to TC7.3.5 from TC6.2.1 and the other one is TC7.3.3 to TC7.3.5 ...

Did u verify the checksum of TC7.3.5 before uploading?

Try the upgrade again, only this time open a telnet or ssh session to the codec prior to starting the upgrade. You can monitor the upgrade progress through the CLI, and often the CLI will give you more information than the web interface when an upgrade fails.

I had the same issue and the step-upgrade worked for me. Thanks.
