How to swap the C90 from TC 7.0.2 to cmterm 7.0.2

Dear all,

We would like to register the C90 to CUCM 8.6, so we have downloaded the cmterm-s52000tc7_0_2.cop from cisco.com.

Any knows how to swap the C90 codec from TC version to cmterm CUCM version?

Best Regards,

Ben LAi

Hi Ben

cmterm-s52000tc_7_0_2 is just software image which can be used when upgrading version from CUCM.

You can register you C90 having TC 7.0.2 version on it.

create device profile on CUCM for C90 unit and assign DN to it.

endpoint SIP configure:

xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 URI: "directorynumber (8001 whatever you assign in CUCM)@10.121.74.121"
xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 DefaultTransport: TCP
*c xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 TlsVerify: Off
*c xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 Type: Cisco
*c xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 Outbound: Off
*c xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 Proxy 1 Discovery: Manual
*c xConfiguration SIP Profile 1 Proxy 1 Address: IP address of CUCM.

this should work fine.

Dear Amehla,

I am much appreciated on your kindly support.

Actually, we have tried to follow the administering_endpoints_running_tc5_on_cucm8-6 ( and tc6 on ucm 9.10. However, those guides did not mention the endpoint configuration as detail as your recommended SIP configuration.

There are two video endpoints registered to cucm for further testing, and really want to say a big thanks.

Best Regards,

Ben Lai

that is largely because those settings are a mix of things that are done automatically, and things that depend on your deployment.

The endpoint is provisioned through CUCM, you should be configuring the provisioning mode and settings... and the endpoint will be configured as part of it's config download from CUCM.

one more thing, for native registration, you should have CUCM 8.6.2 or higher.

Check out the "Cisco TelePresence Administering TC Endpoints on CUCM" guides on Cisco.com - they guide you through all the CUCM and Endpoint configuration steps that are necessary.
