I'm trying to get a better understanding of the 3 x 3 Upgrade Offer. Does it allow a customer with Call Manager 4.x to upgrade to Business Edition 7 or 8 for $6 per user? Is there anytihg like an ordering guide that provides the actual SKUs you use to place an order using the 3 x 3 promotion?

Thanks, but I've already seen that presentation. What I'm looking for is something that tells me exactly how to place the order. There must be a whole set of Cisco SKUs associated with this program.

Here is the OG
Look at Page 12,13
Use UNIFIED-CMBE as the top level SKU and within that you can see the MIG SKU

Hi Srinivasan,
i have gone through the PPT shared by you in your earlier post related to 3X3 upgrade and thank you for the same, however i want to know if there is an ordering guide to order for an upgrade from CM 4.0 to CUCM 8.0? also customer has X number of endpoints on CM 4.0 and wants additional 50 phones (X+50), can you help me with the best licensing solution for the same?

Start with CUCM-USR-LIC and within that you will see MIG SKU for 3 dollars per user. That will provide migration to version 8 with 3 yr UCSS required unless Govt/Education. Then you can add additional 50 within the same top level SKU depending on the type of phone as enhanced/basic/public space etc

Hi Srini,
Thank you for the information it really helped. i had one more query related to the same solution the customer has 7902, 7904, 7942, 7960, 7901 series phones out of which i guess 7902, 7960 are EOS/EOL, so what will hapen to these phones? will they work with the new CUCM 8.0 or should i replace them with their eqivalent?
Thanks

Hi Srinivasan -
I am in a situation where the customer has a 6.0 UC solution with CUCM, UCx, CUP. I want to leverage the 9x3 promotion in addition to moving him to a Virtualized environment using one of the current UCS 'C' Bundles.
However, after investigation, it seems as if the amount of work upgrading from a non-virtualized to virutalized environment is notable, and it is quite a small installation (only 110 users).
Can I leverage the 3x3 promotion and do a fresh install of the UC Application listed above versus upgrading? That is, do the R-CUCM-USR-LIC, UNITYCN8-VUP-K9, and MIG-CUP-8.6 SKUs provide rights to the appropriate licensing and media to perform a fresh install? Or will I have to order the items outside of the 3&3 promotion?
Thanks,
Vince

You can always do that and request licensing for what you currently own manually
Remember DLU licensing is perpetual just because you don't have support doesn't mean you lose it
You can fill the manual licensing sheet and best to have proof of licenses purchased in the past
Thanks

Hi Siri -
I have a customer that is now on CMBE-5K with CUCM 7.0 and we would like to migrate them to a more robust solution offering geographical redundancy, ie CMBE-6K. Can I use the 3&3 promotion for this? Can *all* versions of CUCM that are at revision less than 7.1 be upgraded leveraging this promotion?.
