7942 / 7962 - Lifespan

More a curiosity thing than anything else. We're starting to plan handset upgrades to get rid of EOL 7941/61s out in the field ~2,000. The question is the 7942 / 7962 has been out quite a while, is it destine for EOS any time soon? If so is the 8941/8961 it's transitional replacement?

Thanks

This question has come up and cisco pm haven't given any indication on the EOL of these models or the gig version of these either

The 8941 is being planned to be phased out and hence 8945 or higher end models like the ones you listed will be logical choices

Thanks

yep, don't transit to the 8941 as it was announced end of sale sale last week!
