adding a second CUP to my network steps?

my voice network have 2 cucm , 2 cuc , 1 cup , vcs-e and vcs-c , i have another cup but for some reason it isn't functional "version 10 and my functional cup is 10.5" as it isn't connected to either vcs-c or cucm , also its services are down, im not sure how to start as i haven't installed a cup before ,

1-should i integrate the new cup to cucm then configure redundancy with the publisher cup? or should i add it as a subscriber to the publisher cup then add it to cucm?

2-if i configured it as a subscriber to the publisher will it pull all the configuration from the publisher or do i have to configure it separately? should i start with a fresh installation if the configuration get pulled to the subscriber as i dont know what is wrong with the second cup

3-what is the steps to add a subscriber cup to original publisher cup?

Firstly the version must be same for both imp nodes. Then you need to add second IMP node into CUCM publisher as imp and then do installation of second imp. Once installation is completed then you can configure redundancy from cucm pub (server -> presence redundancy group configuration). And lastly test the redundancy by shouting down one node/services of one node at one time. Suresh

what do you mean by installation of second imp?

-how do i configure the new imp as a subscriber to the publisher imp? or is that done automatically after i configure the redundancy on cucm?

-will the subscriber imp clone all the configuration from the publisher imp automatically? or do i need to configure it manually?

Yes you need to re-install it as currently it is not added to cucm publisher so first you need to add it cucm pub and then only do reinstall at ion and you don't need to do anything on imp publisher for installation of secondary imp node.

-you said i dont need to do anything on imp publisher so the new imp subscriber will get all the configuration automatically from the publisher ? because the new imp need some configuration for sure like adding the users and so

The documentation addresses all the steps and procedures required to add a new IM&P server to a cluster, have you reviewed it???

my cucm version is "10.5.1.10000-7" , my IM&P is version "10.5.1.10000-9" , i checked your link and for 10.5 it only shows how to upgrade cucm nothing about IM&P

i have this old nonfunctional node but for some reason it is showing on my IM&P Publisher , any idea how to remove it?
