Hello,
I'm deploying a new BE6K. But when I tried to power on the CUCM VM on ESX, after I went through the message "Probing EDD (edd=off to disable)... ok". The boot gets stuck.
I checked the event log and see the message "the cpu has been disabled by the guest operating system. power off or reset the virtual machine cucm esxi".
I tried to power off and reset the VM, but still cannot solve the issue.
What should I do?
If I deploy a new VM using OVA on the datastore, will I lose all the license bundled in CUCM?
Thanks.

You can change your licensing, assuming you're having the problem with PLM.
If this is a new install, I'd start fresh.

Were you ever able to get this resolved?

Hello,
Did you get this fixed?

It’s basically a hard dead system if you are running into this issue. I spent some time work with TAC on this without a resolution.
Cisco officially recommends rebuild and perform a DRS restore. Which is probably your best bet.
You can try removing the VM from ESXi (not delete) and attempting to add it back in.....but if it does end up working and you run with it who knows what lingering issue or root cause is brought over moving forward....

I think what I did not to waste potential disaster recovery time is:
Moved the broken VM to an isolated network and started deploying a new node for DRS preparation. Then while the loner autopilot installation tasks were happening I’d investigate the crashed one.
Good luck. Let us know how you end up proceeding.

Hello,
Thanks for swift response.
Its a fresh build of 11.5 and then i applied the SU3 and at which point failed.
Performed on x2 Sub with no issues!
Looks like a rebuild, which I suspected would be outcome.
Thanks All.

I am facing the same issue with CUC after applying the SU3 patch.
