Hi All,
I have a serious problem that I need your help on.
I have 60 VG224's to add to a Call Manager 6.1 cluster along with the associated line information for each of the FXS ports.
Can someone tell me how I can do this using BAT.

Hi Richard,
The good news here is that CCM 6.x is the first version to support the addition of VG224's via BAT. The bad news is that many of our peers have had issues with this procedure. Have a look at the two threads below for some good thoughts on resolving these problems;
Here are the docs for the BAT procedures;
Creating CSV Data Files for Cisco VG224 Gateways
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/bat/6_1_1/t08gwins.html#wp1345635
Inserting Gateways
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucm/bat/6_1_1/t08gwins.html
I would be tempted to open a TAC case right off to see what versions of CCM are going to work best for this, given the large number of these Gateways you need to install :)
Hope this helps!

Hi Rob,
Thanks for the reply, I read these two threads already but I am still at a loss.
I can add a Gateway no problem, but I also need to add the line to each of the POTS interfaces on the 24 port module. There is a tab in BAT to "Add Lines" but filling this out correctly is a problem. The first column is "Device Name" what do you enter in there ?
Any assistance greatfully recieved.
Thanks Richard

Hi Richard,
I wish that I had a great answer for you here but I don't. We don't run CCM 6.x so I can't do a test for you either :( I would think that this BAT would actually be "Add Phones" not "Add Lines" as these 24 ports are all considered phones not just lines.
The Device name is usually the Mac address of the device.
I would recommend posting a new question on the IP Telephony forum (next door), to see if anyone can truly help.
Sorry man!
Rob
