C8200-1N-4T: which are the licenses needed for UC and SRST?

we are going to buy some "C8200-1N-4T" routers (with "NIM-1MFT-T1/E1" modules), to use them as Voice Gateways on the CUCM.

Which are the licenses needed to make these routers work with the UC and the SRST features?

It requires DNA Advantage for CUCM-specific, as MGCP/SCCP-controlled voice ports.

For CUBE it requires a DNA Essentials license.

From what I know DNA Advantage is also needed if any DSPs should be used for media resources.

I have found that there are 2 software modes (IOS XE Autonomous mode and IOS XE Controller mode) and 2 Cisco DNA software subscriptions (on-premises and cloud).

Which are the differences?

The two software modes you mentioned, IOS XE Autonomous mode and IOS XE Controller mode, refer to different operating modes for Cisco devices running IOS XE software.
On the other hand, the two Cisco DNA software subscriptions, on-premises and cloud, refer to different deployment options for Cisco DNA software.

IOS XE Autonomous mode:
In this mode, the device operates as a standalone entity, independent of any centralized controller or management system.
It provides traditional networking capabilities, where the device is managed locally and configured through the device's command-line interface (CLI) or graphical user interface (GUI).
Autonomous mode is suitable for environments where centralized management or automation is not a requirement or is implemented through other means.

IOS XE Controller mode:
In this mode, the device is integrated with a centralized controller, such as Cisco DNA Center, which acts as the network management and automation platform.
The controller provides a single point of control and management for multiple network devices, allowing for centralized provisioning, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

based on our searches:

• Cloud Subscription cannot be selected when IOSXE-AUTO-MODE is selected.
• Cisco SD-WAN controller through L-CONTROLLER-ADD is needed when IOSXE-CTRL-MODE is selected.

Is it correct?

In this case, since we only need a few devices, to avoid overcomplicating the deployment, the only option that we have is to select "IOSXE-AUTO-MODE" and an on-premises Cisco DNA software subscription.

Which Cisco DNA software do we need to install? And which subscription do we need to buy?

• Regarding the subscription, we have seen that there are tiered bandwidth entitlements. Do we need them for some simple TDM routers on a UC + SRST scenario (with no encryption or other routing features)?
• Regarding the DNA deployment model, maybe the on-premises choice could be not feasible, since we should deploy either an appliance or a "big" Virtual Machine, and both the alternatives could be very expensive; in this case, we should fall back to the cloud version, but we should add a controller and switch the routers from the autonomous mode to the controller mode. Is it correct?

No you do not normally need any bandwidth entitilment.

This really depends on your specific needs. Neither me nor someone else, other than you, can give you an answer on this. It all depends on what you need. Apart from that where you have the DNA system has noting to do with autonomous mode or controller mode. Those are two different things that has no correlation.

The Autonomous mode is the default mode for the routers and includes the Cisco IOS XE functionality. To access Cisco IOS XE SD-WAN functionality, switch to the Controller mode. In your case you need Autonomous mode.

On-prem an Cloud are for SD-WAN.

in the document provided, under the table "Cisco DNA for Routing Perpetual Features", I can read: "Network Advantage - Perpetual software with full routing, security, voice, and AppX capabilities, bundled with Cisco DNA Advantage subscription license".

So, if we do not need to use any Subscription Feature, but we will use only the Perpetual Features (e.g.: voice), can we avoid to install the Cisco DNA Center?

AFAIK you don't need DNA Center, but you need to have the DNA subscription license, either Advantage or Essential depending on what functions you need to have.

You dont need any DNA Center  to use 8200 router.  i have a 8300 with  DNA advantage license used as gateway for CUCM and this customer has no DNA center.
