I need to present the calling number to the subscriber who listens to the interview responses. Is this possible at all ??
Thanks,
Paul.

Hi Paul -
Unity 4.2(1) includes customization for specific variables in the subject line of Interview Handler messages. You can do this from the Advanced Settings Tool. I believe this is the functionality you are looking for?

Hi Paul,
There is no setting for this in the Interview Handler itself. Have you tried the setting (Senders Information) for the person who actually listens to the answers from your Interview Handler (Deliver response to)?
Deliver Response To - A subscriber or distribution list that will receive messages that are left for this interview handler. Click Change and select a subscriber or public distribution list from the list.
Sender's Information - Check this check box so that Cisco Unity plays caller information about a message sender before playing a message. The information that Cisco Unity plays depends on how Cisco Unity is set up.
By default, Cisco Unity plays the following information when the Sender's Information check box is checked:
For messages left by an identified subscriber, Cisco Unity plays the recorded name of the subscriber before playing the message. If the subscriber does not have a recorded name, Cisco Unity plays the primary extension associated with the subscriber instead.
For messages left by an unidentified caller, Cisco Unity does not provide the phone number (ANI or caller ID) information before playing the message.
However, you can use the Bulk Edit utility (available in Tools Depot) to enable Cisco Unity to announce additional caller information when the Sender's Information check box is checked:
For messages left by an identified subscriber, Cisco Unity plays the recorded name (if available) and the extension before playing the message.
For messages left by unidentified caller, Cisco Unity plays the phone number (if available) of the caller before playing the message.

Have a look at this doc;
Hope this helps!

Thanks for the very prompt & helpful response Rob.
I have just tried this but the message is actually generated by the Unity interview handler which is a known extension in Unity.
So, when I pick up the message it says "Message from extension 043" rather than my ANI.
Ideally, I would like the email subject to say "Message from 01234567879" instead of "Message for Example Interview Handler".
Best wishes,
Paul.

That sounds like the exact solution !
I can't see any documentation for it though -
"Providing Caller Information with Text Message Notifications" doesn't quite cut it.
could you point me in the right direction ?
Thankyou,
Paul.

Check out the training video page for 4.2 here:

there's a video specific to this functionality.
