Hi all,

My customer experienced the problem on adding new subscriber. When he clicks the add button on unity SA page, got the error message of "Can not find the server". I tried to use IP address instead of hostname, got the same error message. But I can add call handler.

Working environment: Unity 3.13 VM on ICS7750.

And idea for this?

Thanks

Please post the error message on the web page and also the windows application logs.

What version of exchange and is it offbox?

I am going to assume the SA starts and most other SA pages are working except when you click the Add button.

You might be experiencing this defect:

http://wwwin-metrics.cisco.com/cgi-bin/ddtsdisp.cgi?id=CSCea52818&show=Release-note

You have tried the bulk import tool instead?

Hehehee, he gave you a internal link. Here is the bug info:

CSCea52818 SA:Cannot add Subscribers via SA--Servers.GetServerByName exception

Symptom:

When adding a subsciber through SA by pressing the + icon, you receive a Runtime error

"Severs.GetServerbyname" exception. The template, Server, mailstore and

location drop downs on the Subscriber import screen are truncated.

Import tool does not work either and presents the same runtime error.

Conditions:

The message store facing service accounts are running under the wrong account or permissions

are set improperly - One or more accounts may be set to explicitely DENY send-as and receive-as

rights by virtue of being an Exchange Administrator or specific rights set by the customer.

Workaround:

Use a domain account for the message store facing services with the following rights:

Log on as a service

Log on as a batch job

Act as part of the operating system

Membership in the local administrator's group

Membership in the Exchange Domain Server's group OR explicit Send-As and Receive-As rights granted

at the mailstore level

Make sure AvCsMgr, AvCsGateway, and AvUmrSyncSvr are running as the same account.
