Canon IP Fax Expansion Kit registered to Call Manager as Generic SIP Device

Hello,

I am wondering if anyone has experience working with the Canon IP Fax Expansion Kit and integrating this with Call Manager.

I am able to get the IP Fax kit to registered as a generic SIP device to Call manager, and i'm able to make successful inbound fax transmissions over T.38 to the device, but when I try to fax out from the IP Fax system to the PSTN, i am getting a 401 Unauthorized message. Call Manager is sending back a digest nonce, but the IP Fax kit isn't trying to re-authenticate with the nonce, username and password.

Successful inbound call:

Failing outbound call

Hi,

401 Unauthorized error is typically caused by incorrect credentials from the calling user agent (in your case it is Canon IP Fax Expansion Kit), and/or misconfigured CUCM end user settings, and/or 3rd party SIP Phone settings. Check your digest credentials on CUCM end user and on Canon IP Fax Expansion Kit.
