Cisco CUBE registrar server

Hi!

I have a question regarding CUBE and SIP registrar.

What is the function for the command "registrar server" that can be configured under voice service voip?

My PBX is trying to send register (with a username CUBE) to my CUBE, but gets a 404 reply back. See debug message below.

Is it possible for the PBX to register at CUBE?

The SIP-UA configuration should that be used when register a SIP trunk to a ITSP for example?

Hi,

I don't have any idea how it will be configured in FreePBX (Asterisk). But I can tell that you cannot use CUBE as a registrar server. You probably check in the FreePBX forum.

Found the following thread from a google search - click here may help you further. If you still want to verify any configuration in the CUBE, please do share here to look further.

Hi there,

  1. What is the function for the command "registrar server" that can be configured under voice service voip?
It enables the CUCME to allow the SIP endpoints to register with the SIP Server (CUCME)- for detailed information check RFC 3375
  2. My PBX is trying to send register (with a username CUBE) to my CUBE, but gets a 404 reply back. See debug message below.
    What is your PBX system?
  3. Is it possible for the PBX to register at CUBE?
Not possible to register with the CUBE.
  4. The SIP-UA configuration should that be used when register a SIP trunk to a ITSP for example?
Correct, just a quick reference below
    sip-ua
credentials username XXXXXXX password xxxxxxxx realm itsp.com
authentication username XXXXXXX password xxxxxxxx realm itsp.com
    registrar dns:itspsip.domain.com expires 3600
    sip-server dns: itspsip.domain.com

Regards,

Thanks!

2. Im running two Freepbx (Asterisk) and two CUBE as session border controller between. So i don't have a ISP to register with.

Topology

192.168.10.20(FreePBX #1) --> (LAN) CUBE#1 (WAN)-->(WAN) CUBE #2 (LAN)--> 10.12.0.20 (FreePBX #2)

Best regards Martin
