Hi Team,
We have a Cisco Unity 7.0(2) over voice messanging configuration. mailboxes have been created for some users. These users can access their personal mailboxes through their own ip phones (7911G, 7942G, etc).
Now, Users want to access their personal mailboxes even though they are outside corporate network. The would dial a number from PSTN (according E.164 format) and Cisco Unity answers the call and says something like that: "hello, Welcome Cisco unity system. please enter ther extension number, now enter your password and so on until the user can hear her/his voicemail messages. Is it possible? If so, please, Could you send me some links/documentation that explains how to do it and apply it?
Your prompt answer will be really appreciated!
Thanks in advanced
Manuel

Hi,
Yes this is posible, you need to send the calls that come from that PSTN number to the Unity System.
You need to send the call to the "Sign-in" conversation in the call routing rules menu.
When you are there the Unity will ask for the ID (subscriber extension) and the password.

This is actual a standard set up. What you normally have is the pilot number associated with the VM profile on CUCM is a private extension (for ex: *091001). That private number is then set up to translate to a DID number which is configured as the main hunt pilot for Unity. In Unity, the default routing rules would send callers to the sign-in conversation which prompts users to enter their extension and PIN. Conversely, you could set this up to go to an Automated Attendant (aka Call Handler) with other call handling options and then give the users option to enter their mailbox from within the Call Handler.

Dears,
I have configured a DID and followed your tips, everything is ok. Users can now access their personal voice mial from PSTN.
Thank you very much to both. I have already rated your help.
