Hello Team,

We need to add Cisco VG350 Analog Gateway in Cisco CUCM 12 for connecting all my analog phones in CUCM.For that we have MGCP/SCCP Protocols .

In my VG350 analog Gateway I have VIC2-4FXO card for connecting pstn Connection..

In Sccp Protocol my VIC2-4FXO port in Not listed in VG350..

Does SCCP protocol support VIC2-4FXO Port??

If we need to add VG350 as MGCP does which all features are supported..

When i checked the documents all features are not supported in MGCP

MGCP was designed as a trunk-side protocol while SCCP was designed as line-side. The gotcha is faxing: protocol-based T.38 fax relay is only supported over MGCP. For this reason, most people use MGCP since faxing is the most common use case for FXS ports these days. Hookflash and feature access codes that SCCP provides are rarely required.

You can technically have both on the same chassis but you have to be very careful only to configure the modules you intend to use on one gateway or the other. In my opinion, this is one of those “just because you can do it, that doesn’t mean you should” situations.
