I've been in the carrier VOIP world for quite some time, I've had my dealings with CME back in the 4.x days, and I've been hired on as an IT consultant for a small company looking for a unified PBX platform. I'm a little rusty in the Unified Communications platform but looking to go head on in offering Cisco products to my future clients. I'm a company but for now considered an end user establishing systems for different clients.
My client is looking to set up 25 office spaces renting to 25 different businesses, each office will have a 7900 series phone in it. Additionally they want the tele workers feature for these renters, as well as offer a "virtual office offering". The virtual office workers will not have a physical office but a soft phone. Each of these businesses would have simultaneous ring, hunt groups, find me follow me, as well as 1 central phone with an operator that will pick up their phone for all clients and address the client's business by name.
What type of hardware would work with the scenario above? User licenses? Perhaps 1 year of support to go with the solution. I will be managing the platform and looking at getting sip trunking from a partner of mine. Any suggestions are welcomed, thank you in advance!

Hello, Jeremy.
How did your client's VoIP requirement worked out? I highly recommend Cisco Business Edition 6000 for a scalable Unified Communication solution. Let me know if you have additional concerns as well. Kind regards.

Hi Andrew,
Thank you for that recommendation. I have not gotten anything worked out yet, I'm looking at comparing Cisco with other vendors at the moment. Does the Cisco 6000 support multi tenant (separate subscribers on one system)

Jeremy,
If you want to know if CUCM BE 6K can have a SUB server the answer is yes, you may get a second BE 6K server for high availability, now if you meant to have 2 or more CUCM servers on the same box, it can be done, but I do not see much benefit of it, think about it, if you have your primary and secondary servers on the same physical box and there is a HDD failure both of these will be down!
HTH.
Regards,
Christian.

Actually I meant is multi tenant, meaning not everyone on the system will be in one business. I actually want different businesses on one solution at a maximum of 1500 to 5000 numbers. I want to created a call manager hosted solution for a large building with multiple businesses with one managed telco system.

You can do multi-tenant, however for the number of users that you are looking at a BE6000 will not scale for you. A BE7000 should do the trick though and I have seen other organizations do just that with it.

John,
Can you provide more information? Why won't the BE6000 not scale, what advantage does the BE7000 have over the 6K?

The BE6000 is designed for organizations with 1000 or fewer users. The BE7000 is, more or less, just a server architecture for UC and doesn't have that same constraint. A BE7000 architecture would be able to scale up to and beyond your anticipated number of users.
If your user count was going to stay below the 1000, then I would say the BE6000 would probably work for you because, cofiguration-wise, the multi-tenant functionality is the same. The difference is the scale.
Hope that helps!

Thanks John! Is there any way to message privately with pricing on the 6K? If not, here is fine. For now the 6000 would do and if we need to scale up a server migration would be all we need.
