Suggestions for Cisco CUCM development team for LDAP since I can't find the proper place for suggestions. In my Cisco UC environment for LDAP I have to change the service account password in multiple locations.
- CUCM LDAP System>LDAP Directory
- CUCM LDAP System>LDAP Authentication
- CUCM Service Profile Configuration>Directory Profile
- TMS>Network Settings>Active Directory
- CMM Users>LDAP Server
Make both LDAP Directory, and Service Profile\Directory Profile use the same usable character sets. Used a password with '<>&" that worked for CUCM LDAP Directory, LDAP Authentication, TMS and CMM but CUCM Service Profile\Directory Profile rejected with a message not allowing '<>&" characters. Recommend Cisco utilize the same character set in all password locations to prevent lockouts add I suggest a centralized LDAP Acct/Password Field that LDAP Directory, LDAP Authentication, and Service Profile\Directory Profile can point too.
