CUCM patch from 7.1.5.11004-1 Unrestricted to 7.1.5.31900-3 UNRST

Hi all,

try to apply patch 7.1.5.31900-3 to CUCM 7.1.5.11004-1 and get the following error:

the version number inside the selected upgrade does not match the filename

log:

12/12/2012 08:13:57 upgrade_validate_file.sh|Found directory /mnt/source/RedHat/APPRPMS|<LVL::Info>

12/12/2012 08:13:57 upgrade_validate_file.sh|Validate GUI version with that on the media|<LVL::Info>

12/12/2012 08:13:57 upgrade_validate_file.sh|Master RPM version /mnt/source/RedHat/APPRPMS/master-7.1.5.31900-3.i386.rpm: not an rpm package (or package manifest): does not match file version 7.1.5.31900-3|<LVL::Error>

Can anyone help me with this issue?

Hi Dmitry,

You can see this error when combining the 2 files and not following

the naming conventions;

Procedure

Step 1 Ensure that you have completed the "Installing the Unrestricted COP File" section.

Step 2 From the Software Download page on Cisco.com, download the two UCSInstall files.

Step 3 To combine the two files, execute one of the following commands.

Note Because the UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3 build specifies a nonbootable ISO, the build proves useful only for upgrades. You cannot use this build for new installations.

a. If you have a Unix/Linux system, copy and paste the following command into the CLI:


cat UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part1of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part2of2 > UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso

b. If you have a Windows system, copy and paste the following command into the command prompt (cmd.exe):


COPY /B UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part1of2+UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part2of2 UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso

Step 4 Use an md5sum utility to verify that the MD5 sum of the final file is correct.

for the Unrestriced version:

•UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part1of2

•UCSInstall_UCOS_UNRST_7.1.5.31900-3.sgn.iso_part2of2
