Hi All,
I'm having issues with getting CUCM 11.5 to transfer a file from a ftp server and I think I must be missing something odvious. Can anyone assist?
I'm trying to send a new cop file for a phone to the CUCM to upgrade the firmware used.
Whenever I trying to transfer the file it fails saying:
"The remote file could not be accessed or fully downloaded. Please verify the file permissions or check status of the remote server."
I don't believe this is a FTP server issue because I've tried 2 different FTP servers and both can be access from another device (filezilla client on a windows box). So I think the FTP server is setup correctly.
Whenever I go to the Unified OS administration > Software Upgrades > Install/Upgrade and fill in all the relevant details it fails:
source: Remote File System
directory: \
server: x.x.x.x
username:
pw:
transfer protocol: ftp
It gets through to the next page, I can see all the COP files on the server.
Then when i select one and hit next it gives me the error:
The remote file could not be accessed or fully downloaded. Please verify the file permissions or check status of the remote server. |
Any ideas??
Is there anything qwerky about this process i need to know?
Many Thanks,
Tom

OK after a bit of searching I've discovered the issue, it's a bug! - CSCuz93073

It's specific to CUCM11-5 and the workaround is to use SFTP rather than FTP.
I've tried it for a couple of files and I've not had any fail so far.
Regards,
Tom
