Hi all,
Just having some queries from customers around licensing and want to be clear. It seems that v9 is licensed on a per phone and per user basis? (The user using essential). This seems no good for customers who are using device profiles because we need to associate the user with a device profile (which uses an essential license) and then also go into a (random) phone and change its owner ID to this user to get them to use a combined enhanced license. Is this really a nevessary step or am I just doing it wrong?
Thanks

EM no longer takes up license as of CUCM 9.1.1a, it was the case in previous version but Cisco addressed it. Go to the latest 9.1.2 and you will be fine.

Thank you Chris. To clarify, now with 9.1.2, only phones used enhanced license and users no longer used essential? You can set all phones to "public space" and no need for owner ID?
Thanks :)
