Dears,

One of the customer with the existing CUCM 9.X want to upgrade to the latest 10.X. The software support is expired and i know we have to renew it as SWSS. My question is; does cisco only support during we are going to upgrade or is really do the complete upgrade by himself using the SWSS.

Its my first time to upgrade; please let me know if i have to upgrade it by myself or cisco.

If i have to do it then what is the process of doing this upgrade.

Waiting for kind reply

Thanks

What part of my post suggests you post upgrade procedures? All points mentioned are very valid.

You would have found out if you had taken the pain to open and read the reason CUCM 10 upgrade guide has been referenced. This details the planning steps and all upgrade procedures you need for upgrading to version 10. This forum can provide you directions, but you need to read a lot and prepare well, nobody here will be able to give you a short cut.

First of all, you will need to the upgrade yourself, Cisco will not be doing that. But having said that, you can still open a proactive TAC case, and have someone assist you during the upgrade as long as you have got active support contract.

For the upgrade review this guide and search this forum you will find plenty of information on this topic.

Hi Mohsin,

With SWSS, u get support to open the TAC [earlier called as ESW ]cases along with option to get major upgrades.[UCSS].

You need to the upgrade on your own and open TAC case when u get stuck up .

Hi Aman,

Thanks to respond. Regarding upgrade deployment we have UCS server with already installed CUCM 9.X.

My question that using PCD, will we use the same UCS server to deploy 10.X ova or we need different server to deploy this 10.x vm to upgrade.

Plz respond even it is a stupid question.

Thanks
