I'm sure this is not a new question posed by many ambitious up and coming Cisco engineers, but I'll ask it again.
What's the best way to get your hands on the Cisco Unified Presence 8.6 and Cisco Unified Personal Communicator install media or downloads for lab and study purposes?
I've enquired to some local partners here in CT. If they even respond, the answers are....it's packaged with hardware that you need to buy...you need to buy 50 licenses....one very cool and decent guy was ready to order me the the NFR copy of CUP...but was trumped by upper management...who stated they only deal with businesses and municipalities. Translation: You're not worth our time. I can't express how pissed and frustrated I am! I'm willing to pay for this and I can't even do that!
Anybody out there willing and able to help...please contact me. Appreciated in advance ....Dennis

You should be able to register for a demo license for version 9.x on Cisco's website. www.cisco.com/go/license . I havent tried it with version 8.6 but I would give that a shot.

CUPS or IM/P as its called now in version 9.x doesnt require a license. You just need the UCM license which I know is available on the website. IM/P works with CUCM from version 9.x and its tightly integrated as far as version goes.

Still need a contract to download it as far as I can see- besides, for CCNA Voice....8.x is the version....and I already have CUCM and CUC 8.6....just not CUP.
Thanks for the info though ....
