Hi all,
I've read a lot about integration CUPS I&M with RCC (remote call control).
We wants to do the integration but only for get the presence status in the linc server. Is mean when some user are talking by phone desk, this status will show in the lync server.
We currently have LYNC using the CUCM as PBX. So users lync can call to mobiles, fix phone, PSTN, etc using the lync, is mean the lync works as "SOFTPHONE". We dont wants implement RCC because when we deploy this we lost the "SOFTPHONE" and the lync works as signalling (call control remote the deskphone, like initiate a call, or answer the call) but we can not talk with the computer lync client (softphone) only with desktop phone.
some one can tell me if is possible? if yes, have any guide that can help me?.

If you are just lookinf for a fetaure to see the presence status of users who are in IMP, you can see if federation helps you. With Federation you can see the presenec staus of IMp users and can also chat with IMP users from Lync clients.

Nagajothi. Im talking about same company, same users. This company use Lync and dont want to change to jabber. so we wants to add telephony service, and presence to lync. federation is between two companys, or same companys but with some users are using jabber and others lync (very wear, I've never seen this).
Finally after read a lot I find out, Only there are integration between Lync and CUPS I&M 10.5 or between Lync and CUCM 10.5 with:
1) Direct SIP between CUCM and LYNC

As this company dont wants to change to jabber, and wants to be able to use lync as softphone, we chouse first option, on this way user when travel can do call from his hotel using internet and his lync as softphone, but with this option we lose presence of his deskphone.
we discart second option because lync only work as controller deskphone, is mean is not a softphone, so when the users travel or is not behind their deskphone, they are not able to do calls using lync client.
