Hello,
Can anyone point me in the right direction for a guide that explains federation between 2 CUPS 8.6 environments please.
I'm looking to link our CUPS server to another organisation's CUPS server using the WAN that links us (rather than the Internet) and i'm not sure how to configure this (in particular should we use SIP or XMPP??)
I've found a lot of information in Cisco's website that mentionsCUPS federating with OCS,Lync,Sametime, etc but nothing specifically for CUPS to CUPS federation
Any help grateful received.

Hi BlueyVIII,
you can use xmpp federation. Here is the documnet:
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/voice_ip_comm/cups/8_6/english/integration_notes/Federation/CUP_8-6_Interdomain_Federation/XMPPConfig_chapter.html
The documnet also confirms this:
Cisco Unified Presence Release 8.x supports XMPP federation with the following enterprises:
•Cisco WebEx Messenger Release 7.x
•IBM Sametime Release 8.2 and 8.5
•GoogleTalk
•Cisco Unified Presence 8.x
•IM and Presence Service Release 9.x or later
hope this helps
